Sounds weird, looks gross, but tastes really good and packs a nutritional punch. This is a great smoothie to drink while breastfeeding, because the kale provides calcium and folate and boosts milk production. The hemp powder adds protien and Omega-3s.
1 cup frozen pineapple
1 banana, fresh or frozen
2 leave of flat-leaf kale, stems removed
1 cup apple juice, pineapple juice, or rice milk
1 tablespoon hemp protein powder
Toss all ingredients in blender. Pulse and blend until smooth. Makes one or two servings.
