Outgrown Dairy Allergy!
July 24, 2007 by top8free
After analyzing more than two months of detailed food diaries we’ve come to the conclusion that Roo has outgrown her diary allergy! (She tested negative a few months ago, but we had some inconclusive trials with the actual substance.)
Not only does this mean greater food options, it also gives us hope that she may outgrow her other allergies someday. The other amazing thing (conforming the power of milk) is that Roo’s BMI is well within the normal range for the first time in her life. She looks great, and it no longer hurts to have her sit on your lap — no more sharp bony bottom!
Now the only challenge is actually getting her to eat and/or drink dairy products. Currently, her one acceptable form of dairy is James Beard’s cream biscuits, of which she’s been eating half a dozen or so a day for the last few weeks. Doesn’t seem to be hurting her, but all my pants are getting tight…. damn those things are good. However, I don’t think half a gallon of heavy cream per week is a sustainable trend.
