Difficult Babies Make Better Kids (Maybe)

According to a team of researchers based at Indiana University, difficult babies can, with good parenting, become the most socially skilled and academically gifted children in first grade. The big qualification here is “with good parenting.” Babies who were rated as “diificult” and who received what the researchers defined as bad parenting ended up being the least sucessful first graders.
So, your screaming two-month old or your cranky toddler is not doomed to a lifetime of being labeled ADHD, or whatever the label of the moment is. Her sensitivity will be an asset in the future, but only if you do your job well! (Not to add any more stress to your life or anything!)
