Because peanut allergies can be so severe, it is important to avoid any foods that may be cross-contaminated with peanut protein. Any pre-packaged foods should come from a peanut-free facility.
i’m new to this food allergies, how can you till if they may be from peanutfree facilty or not?
If it is from a peanut-free facility, it will say on the label. This is a major selling point for the product.
The FDA does not require companies to disclose if there is peanut (or other allergen) use in a facility. Some companies voluntarily put it on their labels, others do not. It is usually under the ingredients, and under the required allergen warning.
